Bailey - The Sahara Challenge

Bailey of Bristol, in partnership with the Caravan and Motorhome Club, is embarking on an intercontinental caravan and motorhome adventure this March. The 'Sahara Challenge' will take the team through southwest Portugal, Spain, and across the Strait of Gibraltar into Morocco, with a return trip through the Atlas Mountains. The journey, which was halted due to the arrival of Coronavirus in 2020, will take 19 days, during which the team will face potentially extreme weather and road conditions.

Bailey's award-winning Alu-Tech body shell construction system is used to build the vehicles, making them robust, durable, and lightweight. The company has built over 75,000 caravans and motorhomes using this technology, which provides year-round comfort and safety for owners. The team will use two Bailey caravans and one Bailey motorhome throughout the journey.

Simon Howard, Marketing Director of Bailey of Bristol, Nick Lomas, Director General of Caravan and Motorhome Club, Lee Davey, Freelance Journalist and Bailey Brand Ambassador, and Andy Torbet, Outdoor Adventurer and Bailey Brand Ambassador, will be among the drivers of the Sahara Challenge vehicles. The core team will also be joined by media representatives from inside and outside the industry.
